Between body and object there mostly is a contrast: stable and hard materials come upon soft human body parts. To bridge these divergences textile surfaces are the best medium for a textile interaction. Therefore the motivation was born to generate textiles which have a cushioning, voluminous main character. The design approaches take the sustainability concept as a basic thought of designing: less material and products, more and long lasting designs we develop emotional connection to. With these textiles we can explore “non-lieus” in rooms, activate objects and pose the question of how we will use our environment differently if we always have a flexible cushioning textile to lean on?
